Agriculture, Construction, Stationary, Off Road and Earth Moving Machinery Dynamic Precleaner Line:

This line of engine air precleaner models consist of a steel housing with static vanes and a rust-proof rotor mounted on dual ball bearings over double-welded steel plates. The perforated metal pre-screen at the inlet is standard in all models. For a variety of outlet choices, the outlet tube can be adapted with the supplied reducing sleeves. O’4 engine air precleaners are powder coated with a durable, corrosion resistant paint finish. Air flow range from 53 to 1411 CFM (1.5 to 40.0 m3/min.) & HP range from 30 to 550 HP (22 to 410 KW).

How the O'4 Dynamic Precleaner works:

O’4 dynamic engine air precleaners are the first stage of filtration and are usually installed where the rain cap, dust bowl, or aspirated precleaner (exhaust system) are located, in some applications, they can be mounted directly to the engine's conventional air filter housing. Air enters the system through a pre-screen that removes large debris; it then flows through the static vanes causing the air to spin. As the air spins, a centrifugal force separates dust, dirt, insects, rain and snow from the air stream. The swirling air drives a high velocity rotor with fins that act as a blower evacuating contaminants through special discharge ports at the bottom or at the side of the unit. Only then will clean air flow through the engine's conventional air filter elements (primary and secondary “safety” elements eliminate 99.99% of contaminates not separated in the first filtration stage executed by the precleaner), many benefits will be added that quickly will become savings.

• ONLY 15-20% heavier than plastic housings, weight will not be a factor.
• More efficient than scavenging systems and any other type or precleaning system.
• High air flow, low differential pressure design.
• No maintenance required, self-cleaning.

The precleaners are self-powered and self-cleaning, requiring no electrical or exhaust gas power to dispose of separated particles. They require virtually no maintenance and should be inspected occasionally to insure that no foreign material has plugged the intake or exhaust port connection areas.

Possible Applications:

O’4 externally mounted dynamic engine air precleaners are designed to be mounted on or connected to the air filter intake of a gasoline, diesel or compressed natural gas engine air filter housing. The applications include: pickups, trucks, buses, tractors, agricultural machinery, earth moving equipment, construction and mining equipment, stationary engines, generator sets, snow removal equipment, street sweepers and many more.
